Wallflower Games

Miss Emma Collins hates being a wallflower and never understood how she'd been relegated to the unnoticeable ranks of the ton. Her family was wealthy, she was reasonably attractive, and, she thought, a catch for any worthy gentleman. She decides that if the ton doesn't want her, then they don't deserve her. She would have her fun, and they could all be damned. What better time to do it than at Christmas? She convinces her brother, and his new wife to have a house party and she adds some guests to the list that will be her priority over the two weeks.

Blake Spencer, Marquess of Ardmore, decides to attend a Christmastide house party out of sheer boredom. A friend persuades him that it might prove a good diversion. He is uncertain, until he realizes that a seemingly insignificant wallflower harbors Machiavellian plans that make it all worthwhile. Her games intrigue him, and before he realizes it, she has ensnared him in a trap he never anticipated.
