Selena Kniles was the best therapist that Seattle had to offer. It made things easier since she was a heightened telekinetic. She often stayed busy helping out her sister, FBI Special Agent Julia Kniles. Her best friend, Jethro Knight, also had a special ability in fighting. His profession of being one the nation's best UFC fighters came as no surprise. Selena often wondered why she and Jethro were gifted as such as he made the ridiculous notion that they were fallen angels. Selena never believed his theories, of course, until one day she comes face to face with Seattle's serial killer. Malachi insists that he is her demon lover from times past and refuses to let her go and will do anything to claim her again. When Selena ends up in a horrific accident, it forces memories from a long-forgotten past where Jethro's theories become memories. Selena discovers her true name is Serenity and now she must decide if Jethro is worth her redemption or if Malachi is still what she desires. Can a wingless love ever be enough?
