An otter trainer and an accountant are pushed to waste one beautiful day together in New Orleans the week before New Year's Eve.

When Katie and Sydney are pushed to spend the day together, Katie's best friend-who's also Sydney's brother-has no idea they've already met.

Katie has one plan for the upcoming year: find her perfect someone. With the clock ticking down to New Year's Eve, she doesn't have time to waste on relationships with no future that could distract her from finding The One.

Sydney is back from San Diego and recently divorced, but hasn't come out to her family yet. A relationship with the first woman she's kissed isn't part of her plan, either. Especially not when that person is her brother's best friend.

Katie and Sydney have very different relationship goals, and Syd's brother doesn't realize she is already well-acquainted with his best friend. When he suggests Katie show off New Orleans to his sister for the day, neither can figure a way to discretely slip out of the setup.
