She had been marked by evil on the day of her birth and had been feared by the people of her village.

One day, Ma'Taira is blamed for a murder she has no memory of. She is left with no choice but to leave her village and become an outcast of her tribe. She must find a way through a savage land to save her soul before it's too late. Ma'Taira must not only get rid of the evil that dwells deep inside her but also survive the harsh and dangerous world that she lives in, which is filled with warring tribes, giant beasts, beastmen, monsters, demons, and evil fey.
