She is the last of her kind and can't trust anyone... not even herself.

Clara Renard is a solitary wanderer living in the shadows of the human world on a desperate quest to find her missing mother; the only person she has left in the whole world and who taught Clara everything she knows.

She navigates the world with caution since her own kind, the witches, were attacked and violently extinguished from the face of the earth. While the world may still be human on the surface, there is a diverse supernatural society hidden deep within the shadows. The supernatural society is divided into communities for each one of its kinds to live in.

When she blindly stumbles into The Sanctuary, the first neutral community to ever exist and also where the last witch community used to be before they were destroyed, she knows that being there is the perfect opportunity to discover more about her ancestors and learn more about her own magic. But she will have to break her main survival rule in order to live there.

While Clara is trying to find out about her kind and figure out what happened to her mother, old memories and precognitive dreams are haunting her every step of the way.

Every time she gets close to an answer, she feels like someone is watching her, sabotaging and preventing her from finding the truth.

Will she find the answers she is looking for, or fall into a trap?
