Without protection from the dangers in the galaxy, everything would collapse. The same as it has been since the dawn of civilization, soldiers are needed to keep society safe.

Benjamin Owens wants to join the Interspace marines simply to get away from a dull life on a mud-soaked planet. With a few good friends, and a trusty laser rifle, he'll set off to to make his mark on the stars, and make a few credits along the way.
