Kenji & Daphne

Kenji Ardito is a history of art student living in Florence, Italy. His somewhat lonely and melancholic routine suddenly comes to a halt during a metal detecting trip, when Kenji hears the voice of a soldier who died in World War II, leading him to find his buried remains. Then, other similar things happen, leaving him frightened and confused. On a train to Tokyo, he meets Daphne and falls deeply, passionately in love with her. The adventures of Kenji, Daphne and their friends interlace with murders, kidnappings and the themes of art, beauty, and the search for physical and spiritual balance in everyday life, with glimpses of enchanting gardens and hidden retreats in splendid Florence, far from the usual tourist clich?s.
