A Promise Of Paraguay: An Unforgettable Romance Adventure

War has come to Annabelle's town.

Life was difficult enough, trying to take care of her little sister, and making ends meet at the fish market, while their brother was away fighting the French. When a ship full of wounded soldiers arrives in their little harbor town, their whole world is thrown upside down.

Annabelle suddenly finds herself changing bandages and nursing wounds while wondering what they're going to do. Who's going to take care of her sister? When will their brother return? Where are they going to go if the French attack?

Then Annabelle meets Enrico, a young, mysterious soldier, who says he has news of Santiago, her brother. There's family - an aunt, somewhere in Paraguay, who might take them in. Enrico knows the way, and he's promised Santiago he would help see his sisters to safety. But they have to hurry, before the war draws too close and it's too late.

But what will Alejandro do? The always helpful, kind-eyed teenager next door, Annabelle's oldest friend, who's been helping her take care of Sophia all this time. Is it safe to leave? Or is it better to stay and fight?

Annabelle doesn't know what to do. She knows she has to follow her heart - if only she knew what it wanted.
