The author, India Mu?oz, uses wordplay to elicit emotion when writing candidly about her experiences in love with others, having intimacy, and the lies that can break your heart into a million pieces.

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
Love, Sex, Lies: A Bold Collection of Lesbian Poetry manifested itself during a time when I began to reflect on the kind of relationship dynamics that I've had with other women in my life thus far. Some were magnetic, others were temporary, and a few were toxic. The connection between two women who are in love is one of the most beautiful things that you can experience - when commitment is the choice. The nurturing, the support, the admiration, and the gift of having a best friend all wrapped into someone that you want to devour is a beautiful experience. However, although the experience can be life-changing and beautiful with your partner, there is another side to that coin - the side where pain, betrayal, lies, and even abuse can meander. As you read through these works, I hope that you see pieces of yourself that you can identify with that evoke change within yourself, awakening, or thought.
