ocean. Reverence, awe, an irresistible pull, a daring invite, a dread, a warning; emotions
generated by the majestic range are myriad; as diverse as the life in its lap. The Himalaya
anthology, 'The Mountain was Abuzz' brings together the feelings expressed by the poets
worldwide, on the fabled mountains. From warm memories of their captivating beauty, to their
calming effect, the spiritual sanctuary, the people who call the Himalaya their home, to glimpses
of fascinating hill culture, and the symbolism the image of Himalaya so strongly evokes- of the
indomitable human will, the anthology beautifully weaves the poetic voices together in a chorus;
sonorous, mellifluous, an urgent call emanating from the Himalaya, and echoing in the hearts of
every living being. Behold the stunning grandeur of the snow-capped peaks, breathe the fresh
breeze, inhale the fragrance of the Himalayan flowers, bounce with the fast-flowing rivers, and
dance holding hands with the simple, hill folks. Read aloud the Himalayan poems, and feel the
spirit of the Himalaya seeping into you!
