This is the second book in the Discomfort of the Blended trilogy.

There's an unwilling new face of The Discomfort, as more people join in the fight to legalize The Blended, and defy President Evan's ongoing bigoted rhetoric. Many allies, however, express other surprising priorities.

A subgroup among the Simples, Ladies of the Watch, gain influence after a peaceful gathering arranged by The Discomfort is framed as a violent protest. Evans and the governor of North California team up to militarize the area in response. The president takes things even further by suspending the writ of habeas corpus- ensuring that anyone suspected of aligning themselves with the Discomfort is arrested and detained indefinitely.

Major revelations between members will continue to shake the Discomfort's foundation- as they are forced to risk their lives just to exist in their own neighborhood.
