The Endakali Naima Goten Akali (ENGA) people have been living in what is now New Guinea for more centuries. Studies shows 75,000 Years of existence. It was only in 1933 the first Europeans came to the region only to be disturbed the WW2. In July 1947 the colonial administration allowed the foreign missionaries to come to region. Wabag became a diocese of its own in March 1982. The following year first indigenous priest was ordained, who became the bishop in 2000. The Catholic Diocese emphasis on selft reliance. The documents of "Vatican II, specifically Lumen Gentium, Apostolicam Actuasitatem and Ad Gentes, the Apostolic Exhortation Christifideles Laici and the Codes of Canon Law CIC 1983 & CCEO have dwelt on laity quite elaborately" the roles and responsibilities of laity. The Papua New Guinea Bishop's Conference creation of Commission of laity makes a significant shift in the work of the laity in Papua New Guinea. Endakali Naima Goten Akali (ENGA) people have a moral duty to contribute to this mission. Thus, Enga Catholic Professional and Students group Network was established. This book gives a practical guide in its spiritual works of mercy and corporal works of mercy.
