Arcostes: A mountain kingdom hailed as "Humanity's Last Bastion" during the time of Almina's "War of The Autumn Equinox". In these lands does the refugees from the humble village of Melunia take shelter in, as their home was torn down by a dreaded monster said to have existed only in legend. Everyone was accounted for, even their beloved exile: Xelgium Winterbourne.

Defecting from his people, the young man traversed the kingdom's lowest region known as "Elevation Zero" in search of an opportunity to start anew. And that he did, alongside the companion he ditched who seemed less than pleased to see his face.

After settling in with the help of a local railway facility that offered them a job and a place to stay for the two of them, the kingdom soon offered something greater for Xelgium. An opportunity to follow into the footsteps of his mother, father, and grandmother in Arcostes's most elite military unit: The Arcostan Reconnaissance Corps. All he had to do was survive and retrieve a simple, little trinket in a forest. Simple... right?
