Maddie, a call-taker stuck in a workaday job, notices something unusual when a client's wife calls the centre to file a claim, but the client retracts the same claim the following day. What prompted the man to behave in that way? What's going on?

While building her case against the policyholder and her father, Maddie confronts a moral dilemma: should she expose their wrongdoing, break free from their deceit, and inform their victims? Or would it be kinder to pardon the men so their wives and daughters can be spared the torment?
