His journey delves to uncover the reasons why we leave the things that are important to us, whether it be a relationship, friendship, a job, or the city we live in. Part Two follows Erin, who works to uncover the meaning behind her role as a young woman in the city, and how its ever changing dynamics and shifting attitudes influence her thinking. Her story shows how much of an impact living in the city takes on a person, and how we come to rationalize the injustices that unfold. Aaron and Erin's stories weave around each other as they begin to discover how to traverse the major changes that happen when we stay too long, and the importance of letting a place go. Both hilarious and sincere, Leaving Seattle is littered with both historical truths and anecdotes, that leads one to think of their very own reasons for leaving.
