Think of a classic fairytale with a twist, and you will understand the premise in the Horses of Ra.
The heroes of the story are the magical horses - named after the Egyptian God 'Ra', the God of the Sun. They are a lot like ordinary horses in appearance, until they sense true evil. Then, they burst into flames and sprout fiery wings, enabling them to fly and hunt evil, wherever it may lurk.
On Earth, true evil lurks inside weak-willed humans, causing them to do unspeakable acts against other humans. Known simply as 'the Incubus', the evil spirits do not bother taking on life of their own, preferring to hitch-hike inside grown men and women. Their origins are as shady as they are, but the Volora warriors in charge of fighting them, believe they came from outer space. This is where the Volora come from, though they look much like humans to the naked eye. The horses and the warriors have fought evil together, through the eons. Yet they never managed to exterminate the Incubus completely. What would it take, for this to happen? And can the warriors help the last remaining herd of magical horses to rid the Earth of evil, once and for all?
