From Politics to Prison and Back

A personal story about my four terms as mayor of Talladega, Alabama, and how a scheme was designed to get me sent to prison. My sentence was overturned, and I was elected mayor again. The story involves crime, sex, murder, religion, and romance. A white police captain tried to rape a beautiful black detective, who was subsequently murdered. She was investigating the popular district attorney and his chief female investigator. It's a great read.
