A young couple is about to get married. Paul is nearing graduation on an MBA while Lisa has recently become a certified schoolteacher. Both hail from Kansas City, but Lisa has had longings for the South since a little girl. As if ordained, she found a job as a teacher in the small municipality of Springhill, Louisiana, not far from Shreveport. An incredibly great bargain was offered to them as they looked for a home in their soon-to-be community. An old Southern mansion offered at what surely was half price.Paul delighted at such a bargain, but Lisa became skeptical. Why was it practically dumped on the marketplace, she wondered? Her curiosity only intensified as the real estate agent showed them how well kept the mansion was.As Lisa remained leery about the too good to be true bargain they were getting, the agent related, as required by law, how legend had it that the mansion was haunted.A former homecoming queen and cheerleader was murdered in a Louisiana mansion a week after she married the local football hero and decorated Vietnam War veteran. Her husband, the war hero, was so grief stricken that he took his own life days later. For forty years something has been protecting the sacredness of the master bedroom where the murder/suicide took place. Strange occurrences happened everytime someone new moved into the mansion. Lisa learned to leave the master bedroom alone. Winds howling, loud banging noises, and shrieking occurred every night she violated the sacredness of the master bedroom by entering it. She set up the love nest for herself and her fianc? Paul in an adjacent bedroom instead. But she had to satisfy herself about this legend.
Who indeed was haunting her new home?
One night she boldly entered the master bedroom to find out. She stood her ground as
the howling winds and shriekings occurred again while she sat in the room to confront
whatever spirit haunted it. All the while she prayed for the tortured spirit of the local hero
she was sure was the instigator of the occurrences.
