Haunted by her past, Misty and her son, Andy, have been on the run for the last two years from Andy's abusive father. Their fortunes change dramatically when a divine encounter provides Misty with a coffee truck that soon becomes their sanctuary-a home and a ministry serving horse therapy centers that aid in Andy's autism treatment.

On the last day at Peaceful Acres, Misty is left captivated by a brief encounter with a handsome, brooding horse trainer named Cole, and his four-legged friend, Duke.
