This is a children's picture book about self-awareness and self-acceptance with original illustrations in pencil. The characters are drawn in resemblance of bugs. The main character is Apple Pie the butterfly who is having fun with her friends.
Outside with Apple Pie is about our protagonist Apple Pie, a butterfly with a unique character. She's experiencing uncertainty about herself, which is a dilemma we all tend to face. With the help of her four friends, Apple Pie overcomes her predicament and recognizes the significance she contributes to the lives of those around her. This book is a father daughter collaboration. My daughter Kaylee designed the main character Apple Pie and the supporting character Lucy. The original idea of the book was Kaylee's.
