I needed a title for my book on writing poetry
Not how to construct a verse or how to write some prose
It's full of little poems about composing rhymes
And writing down the feelings in my heart

Each poem is about the art of writing
It's not a guide to teach you how to write
There are no instructions on how to hold a pen
Nor rules that will help you write a sentence

It doesn't tell you about grammar or how to use it well
It doesn't even help you learn to spell
It will help you learn to read if you persevere
And get the rhythm flowing through each poem

It's just about the times when I wrote poetry
The times when I collected all my thoughts
To free them from my mind and clear it for others
Like; what should be the title of this book?

This poem gave me a title, something I could use
To identify my book, make it easier to find
To intrigue your mind dear reader and make you want to read
