This is instrumental in winning world war 3. However, after WWIII ends, and the decades go by, still young replicants in the unites states are no longer recognized for their efforts during the war, in fact they are persecuted. They are welcomed with open arms in now-unified Europe. But the problems in the United States are just beginning as a civil war seems inevitable.
