A Heart Issue: What's In Your Heart?

He died and rose again to give us hope, strength, a new life, a new way of embracing life and others, and an abundant life. He gives us the ability to heal our hearts when we allow Him access and He doesn't condemn us for rejecting Him and trying to do it our way. He patiently stands by gently knocking and He never changes when we make the decision to allow Him access. He gives us words of encouragement and warm arms to lean into and, He sits at the right hand of our Father and HE prayed for all of us before He was crucified. The amazing thing about serving Him is knowing His story!

Although His heart was grieved the night before the crucifixion, and He had suffered so much adversity Himself, and He became angry with those whose heart had hardened, there was nowhere recorded in scripture that He let His heart fail Him due to the circumstances. Sure He rebuked the Sadducee and Pharisees but His heart was always in a noble posture and confident in the Father as He often consulted with God before He made any major decisions. That's how our hearts come to healing and healthy heart health. We should acknowledge what we harbor there and then work towards ridding ourselves of the canker through prayer and relentless faith and utilization of those who God puts in our lives.

Thankfully, God will use who He chooses to help along the way so we mustn't disregard those who have been trained to provide a safe haven to address the issues. However, we must be willing to address the issues and allow God to do the cleansing because He will.And that means surrounding us with, leading us to, providing the safety of, and still giving us access to Him through Jesus.

This is not an oxymoron nor a contradiction of God's sovereignty. It's a promise of how He works! One of His promises is that no one can reverse His work nor pluck us from his hands so why would we allow our hearts to be cemented by the perils of life when our foundation is sealed in Christ Jesus?

We were created to live an abundant life so we must ask ourselves, What's in our heart? What do we hold onto so strongly that we can't be free? Why do we struggle to live an abundant life? Why do we fight against the things and ones who can share in a peaceful existence? It's a heart issue and we must be willing to address the bondage.
