The Canyon Lake Poems

A series of poems written by the author over the course of a wonderful four-day period at my in-law's cottage on Canyon Lake in Ontario, Canada.

It is impossible to tell when inspiration will strike. I expected to simply swim, play games and enjoy family, the lake, and sunsets.

I did not expect to write nearly fifty poems in such a short period. Who knows, perhaps the confluence of great weather, the beauty of Canyon Lake and time with family conspired to fill the well to overflowing.

No matter the reason, I am grateful for it and the Francis Family who give my wife Megan and I opportunity to re-create at Canyon Lake.
