About the Author

Neha, an immigrant from India who moved to Canada in 2012, has navigated numerous adventures-from relocating across provinces to becoming a Canadian citizen, finding love, and starting a family. In her debut book, she explores the unique journey of immigrant parents raising first-generation children in Canada.

With Halloween and Diwali back-to-back in 2024, she imagines the delightful confusion in desi households like hers, where trick-or-treating is followed by Laxmi Puja. Her book beautifully captures the beauty of preserving cultural roots while embracing the diverse traditions & celebrations of their new country.

Neha's passion for community-building also led her to create Ninja Nari, an empowering platform for South Asian women in Calgary. Through her writing, she hopes to inspire others to embrace their heritage, find their tribe, and create a sense of belonging in their new homeland.
