A Gypsy's Diary: Tamara and the Mermaids' Island
Book 11
A brave young gypsy girl named Tamara finds herself stranded on a deserted island after a storm destroys her family's boat. Tamara wakes up on the shore of a remote island. Alone and scared, she quickly realizes she must rely on her wits to survive. She builds a makeshift shelter out of driftwood and other debris she finds along the shore, some of which appears to have been deliberately left behind by the elusive mermaids.
Tamara's days on the island are filled with discovery and perseverance. She finds a freshwater stream, picks fruit from trees, and keeps a bonfire burning in hopes of attracting a passing ship. As the days turn into weeks, Tamara faces natural threats, including another storm that destroys her bonfire, but she rebuilds it with unwavering determination.
