The Roadrunner: A Story of Forgiveness

Ole cowboy Boots, as my ranch friends me, did not resemble a married family man. I appeared a as young single buck.

After years of disobedience, I felt like I was riding on a paint pony headed for a place called nowhere. My marriage covenant was broken. On weekends, I did not visit home. I stayed in bars enjoying the party life.

Belle, was my wife for over twenty years but I usually did not spend much time with her.

I desired weekends of reckless living attending bars, saloons, and after parties. I enjoyed going to wild parties flirting with young ladies. And none of these promiscuous women were my wife.

I had been a bad marriage hand for a long time. How can I go back home? I needed to stop running.

I must ask God to forgive me. I needed to ride in a brand-new direction and stay away from drunkenness. I needed to swallow my foolish pride and start forgiving myself. Finally, I needed to ask Belle, my beautiful wife, for forgiveness.

Forgiveness often come by arriving in different layers. It requires time. People get hurt from another person's bad decisions and bleed from the inside out. They get wounded.

People need the Lord to help mend their emotional pain. God is waiting to help heal brokenness and your wounded spirit.

Each one must learn to forgive as the Lord forgave them, All people at some point in their lives need forgiven.

Surrender and stop running. It is never too late to find the Lord. Seek peace that only Jesus can give.
