The Power of a Raincoat

Robbie was a mud-loving and truck obsessed toddler. As he starts getting older he realises the things that brought him joy are beginning to change. He soon discovers what really makes him happy and begins his journey down an unknown path. Robbie grows his hair long, falls in love with pink, bows and dresses. He finally starts to understands the things that make him happy. However, his friends are confused by this and they soon realise they are no longer interested in the same things. Robbie searches for a friend that has the same interests as him, that isn't confused about why he likes what he likes. The ending of the books can be taken in whichever way the reader feels it should. The storyline opens the opportunity to have this discussion with children either having similar experiences, or in need of a new perspective.

During this books, Robbie meets a young girl named Emma. Emma has her own book 'My perfect, soft, pink dress". While it has been designed for Emma's book to be read first, it isn't necessary.
