Haikus and F-Yous

Haikus and F-Yous
This book is a compilation of thoughts and feelings the author has experienced and recorded over the years. Primarily written in the form of Haikus, the author chose this format to avoid spending too much time deliberating on what to write. Haikus allowed for quick captures of emotions as they arose.
While the author adheres to the traditional 5-7-5 syllable structure, some pieces may not qualify as poems at all; they are simply random reflections and sentiments. As readers progress through the book, this will likely become clear.
Some of these writings are romantic, joyful, meditative, enlightening, or just plain silly, while many delve into the darker aspects of life's journey. Yet, the author believes these darker pieces can be incredibly inspiring and empowering, especially for those who have shared similar experiences. They serve to remind others in their struggles that they are not alone-that their feelings are universal and have been articulated by someone else.
Like many, the author tends to write mostly during times of sadness, depression, loneliness, or other bottled-up emotions. It serves as a way to release some pressure from that emotional reservoir before it threatens to overflow. People often share their joys and happy moments with friends and loved ones as soon as they occur, which is where social media plays a significant role, acting as a platform for sharing lives.
As readers embark on this emotional rollercoaster filled with its ups and downs, it is hoped they find connections to their own experiences. May this serve as inspiration or a positive start to their day. At the very least, it is hoped that readers find it entertaining and a pleasant way to spend their time.
