Where Beautiful Things Go to Die

In cartel-controlled Santa Elena, 17-year-old Alex faces an uncertain future. His girlfriend, Barbie, dreams of a better life and wants them to migrate and study in the US, but he is paralyzed by fear and indecision. When Luz, his childhood love who vanished in a plane years ago, suddenly returns, Alex's world is thrown upside down. As his feelings for Luz reignite, he discovers she harbors a dark secret with the potential to pull him into deeper danger.

Reconnecting with Luz in secret, their affair triggers a series of events that tie Alex to the underworld. When Luz disappears without a trace, Alex becomes the prime suspect, thrusting him into the public eye and making him a target for the cartel, who fear exposure.

To save himself and uncover the truth, Alex follows Luz to Victoria, Canada-a place starkly different from his violent hometown. Amidst the safety of Victoria, Alex must make a heart-wrenching decision: let Luz go and embrace a safer life, or bring her back to save himself and confront the dangers of his past.
