Emily has always felt like a background character in her own life, but she hoped discovering she had magic would change that. Yeah... not so much. Apparently, having magic and being able to use said magic are two very different things. There's nothing quite like finding out you're the mystical equivalent of a battery. Oh, and that people are actively trying to capture you so they can power their armies. So, what's a girl to do? Pose as a high school student at an academy for spell casters, of course!
