Offenses are real and trauma is real. People really do hurt us, betray us, hurt our feelings, disappoint our expectations. And church hurt is genuine. But how we deal with these experiences are a choice. We don't have to spend our lives in caves. We can choose life and freedom to be free of our caves and be made whole by the Lord.

Offense has many offspring. Fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, shame, guilt, anxiety, confusion, depression, doubt, condemnation, anger, hatred, judgment, and many others. But there is great danger here. When our offenses and brokenness go unhealed then it opens the door for demonic interference and influence within our lives.
