Traveling Tales: France & Italy

In Book 2 of the Traveling Tales series, the author shares her journey to France & Italy with and stories about her great times there, and accompanying excellent photographs she took.

Who would have imagined that a photo album with the word "Paris" scribbled across the front would have been the catalyst to a dream vacation to Europe? I simply wanted to fill the pages with snapshots of places I had only dreamed of going. I saw the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame in Paris. I walked cobblestone streets through villages in Florence and sipped wine on vineyards in Tuscany. Not to mention seeing David in all his glory. I floated down the canals of Venice and saw and heard my first Italian opera. I climbed Mount Vesuvius to the top in Naples and toured Pompei. I tossed a coin into the Trevi Fountain, to assure a safe return to Rome. I gazed up at Michelangelo's magnificent hand-painted ceiling fresco in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. I was living my best life, and I hope this inspires you to do the same.
