Life is a Poem: Emotion, to Thought, to Words

I am definitely not a poet but have attempted to better my skills with the help good people on the AllPoetry website. Some themes contained herein were contest challenges to write about subjects I never considered before.

Like myself, there are many who never read a line of verse after leaving formal education. Maybe for me it was my illness and having to slow down that allowed my mind to wander into the depths of my experience and emotion to appreciate a different form of expression. I found poetry is just not a tapestry of words and phrases woven together by a set of strict rules to be appreciated by all. It is judged good or bad in the eyes of every individual reader. My poems, verse found here are varied and will continue to be experimented with as part of my bucket list.

Our true living on beyond our short visit here on mortal earth does not live in a book of verse, trophy or award but lives in what values we instill in our children. One word shared with them may make a difference. This collection of poems I pray will echo into following generations.
