Lily Rinds inherited the family farm when she was 16. He father trained her to operate and manage the farm, and she has performed admirably. She has attracted suitors from the surrounding farms, but most of the men are more attracted by her property than they are by any prospect of romance with this young, fiercely independent woman. The rejection was mutual. The banker's son was attracted to Lily. She enjoyed his friendship, but she rejected him when she leaned that he wanted more from her than friendship.
