Prophet Street Poet

Prophet Street Poet
- Nation is visited by the spirit of King Aswad, his ancestor, who tells him he must unite the Aswanni tribe and fulfill a prophecy.
Nation grows up in poverty and gets involved in drug dealing, but also develops his skills as a rapper.
- He forms relationships with two women, Tiara and Harmony, who support him on his journey.
Nation is shot and goes into a coma, but survives. His music gains massive popularity while he's unconscious.
- Upon waking, Nation becomes a powerful voice for reparations and Black empowerment. This leads to social unrest and eventually a race war in America.
- It's revealed there's a secret "Sacred Commander" working behind the scenes to help fulfill the prophecy.
- Nation leads an exodus of Black Americans to Aswanna, a newly discovered African homeland. He becomes a spiritual and political leader.
- The story jumps to 2045, where Nation rules Aswanna as the "New World Supreme Steward" after extraterrestrial beings endorse him.
The book blends elements of urban fiction, Afrofuturism, conspiracy theories, and hip-hop culture to create a fantastical tale of Black liberation and empowerment. It presents a utopian vision of a free Black nation rising to global prominence.
