"This is an incredible journey with so many twists and turns, I couldn't put it down." Annie Morrow, LA Times Currently streaming on TUBI, Kara co-wrote 'The Vigilante' with director Lee Whittaker, and 'Evil Ignored' has been adapted from her most recent Fantasy, Action/Adventure script. The PREMISE for this story is: "If I acknowledge evil, it will consume me." VS. "If I ignore evil, it will go away."
The CORE-ARGUMENT: "It's not my fight." VS "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." A struggling soldier Bishop, and young woman, Neveah, are thrust into the alternate realm of Erimosi after their boat capsizes and they are transported to another world full of strange and dangerous creatures who are led by the evil King Abaddon, who is bent on the destruction of the human race in order to make him all-powerful in his world and beyond.
Compounding Bishop's despair, he is dealing with the tragic death of his wife and young son, which drives him to suicide until Neveah breaks through her own grief to stop him. The two broken friends try to help each other and find closure, and a reason to go on. After nearly drowning, Bishop and Neveah find themselves in a strange world not of Earth. They meet a man named Paracletus who announces that Bishop is their savior, or "Ekdikos" and holds the "Promise" for their future. Bishop is the only one who can take down King Abaddon in this realm, thus breaking his hold on Earth and halting the destruction of mankind. Bishop declares it's not his fight and he's returning home; he is a broken man and feels he has nothing left. But Paracletus knows he is a great warrior and implores him to stay. In a secret meeting, Paracletus bequeaths Bishop with the Vasileia, a sceptre with immense power, the extent of which only the Ekdikos can wield and defeat Abaddon. Is Bishop really the Ekdikos? And if he is, how is he going to find the strength to fight an evil underlord? Together, Bishop and Nevaeh will have to fight many grueling battles, but they also find many allies-and friends-that give them both a reason to live and something to fight for: good over evil. Is it enough to defeat the evil king and his horde or will the dark forces of Abaddon defeat them in Erimosi and end humanity on Earth?
