The Angel of the Bayous: The Dance of Shadows Book 1

In Dance of Shadows, the first book of The Angel of the Bayous trilogy, Gabriel navigates the morally ambiguous depths of New Orleans, a city where crime thrives in the shadows. By night, he assumes a hidden role as a vigilante, hunting down criminals who evade the reach of the law, guided by a strict code that keeps him from descending fully into darkness.

However, when Gabriel encounters Montclair, a ruthless and manipulative figure embedded within New Orleans' powerful elite, his code is tested like never before. Montclair, who operates behind the scenes, pulling strings and orchestrating violence without leaving a trace, challenges everything Gabriel believes in. The clash between them spirals into a psychological game of cat and mouse, with Montclair exploiting every weakness he finds in Gabriel's armor.

As Gabriel struggles with his own morals and the temptation to abandon his principles, he faces a dilemma: to maintain his code or to adopt Montclair's ruthless tactics. The story unfolds with intense confrontations, dark choices, and a suspenseful journey through Gabriel's gradual descent into the world he vowed to fight, revealing the complexities of justice, vengeance, and inner conflict.
