Queen Elizabeth II: A Woman of Inestimable Value

A seventy-year reign that started in the early nineteen-fifties, during Winston Churchill's second premiership, ended on Thursday (8th September 2022) in Scotland. Her son, now known as Charles III, will take her place. The passing of the Queen has sparked discussions on the worth of constitutional monarchy as well as a period of prolonged mourning in the UK and other parts of the world. The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, which commemorated 70 years of her service to the British Commonwealth, was celebrated in the UK in February 2022 with several events. Her mother was greatly revered and loved by all; a virtue that has consolidated the Commonwealth. With her death, many fear the continuation of this International body as King Charles III may likely not live up to expectations.
