Blockchain, Web3.0, decentralized finance, cryptocurrencies... Most people have heard of these terms through mass media but few of them know about the virtual communities that develop these products.
While the revolutionary concepts of Web3.0 (Metaverse, blockchain...) are spreading to the general public, it is yet not well-known the role that decentralized finance (DeFi) will have on the creation of the "Internet of value".
"
Blockchain & Decentralized Finance" aims to fill this gap. Based on the author's professional experience in DeFi and relying on interviews of Web 3.0 field actors, the book recalls how DeFi communities were formed by taking over social networks and messaging systems in an original way to communicate and market their products. It describes how its developers, influencers and investors interact. It shows where these very active communities are heading now after the 2021
bull run. Finally, the book suggests that innovations from DeFi can benefit economic stakeholders in their digital strategies and how IT giants will adapt to the new landscape of the Web 3.0.
