Sober Chronicles (TM): My Journey of Discovery Along the Path to Recovery

In November, 2014, musician and Akron native Marc Lee Shannon believed for the first time that he could have a better life. Broken, beaten, and lost from his struggle with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Mental Health Issues (MI), he was given a second chance through the healing of medical treatment, community, and music.

Since then, Shannon has enjoyed uninterrupted sobriety that has allowed him to use his voice to empower others while serving as living evidence of his passion for recovery.

In this collection of essays, Shannon opens up about his sobriety journey, transporting readers from the darkest places of pain and loss to the mountaintop experiences of not just surviving but thriving in recovery.
