It could have started like this: Why me?
We have all been pushed by others to face a huge challenge at one time or another.
What makes me and not someone else?
Michelle V., a senior executive in her company, is being considered to become its future CEO. This good news is a source of joy, then of doubt.
The forty-year-old decides to meet again with a man who had advised her twelve years earlier when she was first promoted to an executive position. She invites him for lunch in one of the city's top restaurants. The meeting did not go unnoticed.
The book reports on the exchange between Michelle and this man who thinks by making people think. The free form of the dialogue is in the spirit of this sharing of ideas and doubts, experiences and knowledge.
What applies to a leader applies to all of us.

Readers' comments
"A book that takes us by the hand, that leads us on a journey of reflection in search of meaning. In a world where everything is in turmoil, it is a guided tour on the way to the top. A light tone, full of anecdotes; an unpretentious book, between a novel and a philosophy lesson.
Financial director, pharmaceutical industry

"This innovative book is nothing like a traditional business book. Its form and its light and pleasant style make it stand out in the world of boring business books that litter the shelves. The content, too, is a far cry from those same books that are so quick to deliver miracle solutions for the future manager in search of certainty. The take-home message here is much more subtle and intelligent, guiding the reader on a journey full of questions to discover their own truths. Sometimes innovation is just common sense. Well, this book does. And above all, it indicates a new direction of reflection, which will accompany a leader's career for a long time...
Business leader, former international auditor

"There is depth and density in the author's playful discussions, whose bantering scepticism subtly conceals an experience that has been laundered under the harness of a high-flying daily practice.
Doctor, IT Director of a hospital group

"Very pleasant. Syncopated, bouncy, awakening dialogues. Interspersed with small notes that lend a rhythm, allow you to breathe and connect to the concrete, to the ground. Short sentences, simple past tense, choice of evocative words. The epilogue contains more narrative. It is as successful as the dialogues.
International consultant.
