The Philippines, is a country in Southeast Asia, situated in the western Pacific Ocean that consists of around 7,641 islands.
The Philippines have created one of the most fascinating fusion cuisines of the world. Because of its position between the South Pacific, China and Southeast Asia, many cultures have left their mark on the country and its cuisine.
Throughout history, different nations have attempted to colonized or conquer these islands. Both Spain and the United States were at one point successful in doing so.
