Kim Vogler's, Home After Dark (Volume 2) offers her life's journey through the often challenging situations of young adulthood, college, career, and marriage. She grew up in a sheltered home in Des Moines, Iowa during the 40's and 50's.

Growing up loving poems, in which she would write a poem for every special occasion, as her father would also convey his feelings to her mother and sibling, that talent developed into strong journalism skills, which would lead her to a successful career in advertising. But not before trying out a few things to find her own identity.

Leaving home to attend college challenged her way of thinking, to be more like the culture of "free thinking" that was predominant during the 60's. She quickly found out that God's grace was sufficient and that Satan is alive and well, as she writes to readers to put into perspective the shining grace of God upon her life that "kept" her through such challenging times.
