The Witches Thirteen: The Book

The Book...from another place, another time sits in the attic of Faith's century home sent long ago from a place of unrest for its protection and hiding. It sleeps until...the attic door opens, and Faith, discovers a beautiful black book. She opens and reads from it. The Book awakens and opens its pages; like a frog snapping a meal, it pulls her in, along with her cat Salem and her friend Professor Carlson. They are ejected into a parallel world where witches and the like, mutants once human but cast upon, cursed and changed, live amongst one another in a place called the Underworld, a prison created to keep the innocent quiet. At the same time, seven others are taken and transported to the parallel world. In this world of magic, illusions, potions and talking creatures, The Old Hag, a witch who has served the monarch her whole life, is banished to the Underworld. The Old Hag joins the newcomers, and a war begins...for The Old Hag and her people, it means freedom; for the newcomers, it's finding a way home...
