What will it take to send humans back to the Moon or Mars? Are scientific curiosities enough to spend billions of taxpayer dollars on? Can our species survive the journey, or will we be replaced by humanoids or robots? As a secret coalition draws from the military veteran population for an unsanctioned government experiment, a pair of dueling billionaires are racing for Mars to claim the wealth of much-needed precious metals valued in the trillions of dollars. A mission that has never been attempted for a purpose purely for personal enrichment, a better human is needed to complete the task.
Jack Lajoie is caught up in a mystery. After being declared dead, he escapes the hospital to solve the mystery of how he is still alive and why. Not knowing where to go or who to turn to, he returns home to watch over his wife, who is in mourning. As he struggles to decide if he should go to her or continue to solve the mystery of his existence, he finds clues along the way, only to find an even greater mystery.
