Development of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan: Monograph

Today, the tourism sector is one of the most profitable sectors in the world, and pilgrimage tourism, which is considered a component of it, is of great importance in promoting the material and spiritual culture of the peoples of the world. Therefore, all opportunities are being used for the development of this sector . Pilgrimage tourism not only helps the peoples of the world to understand their national identity, but also opens a wide way for the development of cultural and humanitarian relations between them. According to the latest data from the UN World Tourism Organization, the revenue from the provision of tourism services is 1.5 trillion US dollars and this figure is constantly increasing. More than 10% of the world's gross domestic product, more than 7% of the world's exports, and about 8% of the total employment rate are accounted for by this sector. This is because this area is increasingly developing as an important component of spiritual culture all opportunities for development are being used .
