Immortal Stars II, just like its counterpart (Immortal Stars), dedicates its poetical and story-telling resonance to the dusk and dawn of heartbreak. It welcomes you with open arms to emotionally connect with over 100 poems and its extensive novelette, who both teach you it's okay to grieve, love, but most importantly, to learn to accept difficult situations. This book goes above and beyond with relatable poetry/quotes, including love poems, heartbreak poems, and self-care guidance. Collectively, both the poetry and the novelette (lengthy short story) induce words of advice that must be heard by anyone who has and is currently going through a tough love life situation. If you're a poetry fanatic, this book is for you. If you love to read short stories, this book is for you. If you're a hopeless romantic just like me, this book is for you. One of my favorite Immortal Stars I reviews from a fellow reader, "Every page and every word painted a picture in my mind that made the emotion of good words come to life. I love how J.M. Wise uses personification to express his love to his love. It made his words flow so beautifully together. I devoured all 257 pages in one sitting and I had to stop myself from rereading it because it was well past my bedtime! The short stories were a perfect touch to end such an amazing and emotional book. I didn't want the short stories or poems to end. I love how Country Girl and XO Girl weren't predictable but still pulled my heart strings. I honestly connected with all the characters and it felt like I was watching a mini movie. It shows how some relationships are better left alone than to rekindle and shows that it's perfectly ok to keep that door to the past closed." - @Adrena_bookstagram
