D. O. P. E.: Dreaming of Perpetual Equality

I would like to thank everyone for taking out the time to read D.O.P.E. This effort has been a long time coming. This is the perfect time for a message that empowers and unites. It is a declaration of the injustices faced within the African American community. It also discusses other everyday realities that I am hopeful will touch those who have read it and understand you are not alone in the struggles of self-esteem, mental illness, family and relationships. This book in no way is meant to be offensive. It is a journey of love and empathy for communities that are often overlooked. It is my aspiration that all races, religious and economic backgrounds, sexual orientations and political affiliations will be able to take away something positive after reading this book. I am hopeful that together we can be the change that is needed for everyone to have the same opportunities as we work toward perpetual equality.
