The World Budget: Safe and fair resource use for global survival and well-being

This book describes the sustainable shaping of the whole physical basis of the economy and society through the equitable management of global resource consumption.

It explains strategies that will enable the development of societies and individuals, even with limited consumption of goods, while respecting the human need for security and independence. The idea of a world budget of global resource use can serve as an important reference for management at the international, national and local levels, and put consumption globally on a secure and fair basis. In this way, effective levers can be applied specifically where consumption is driven: in the type and scale of production and consumption, and in the design of infrastructures.

Concrete upper limits for the use of global resources serve as a target and reference for the sustainable use of global resources in order to ensure a good life for all on this planet.
